The common errors encountered during the import process are ‘max_upload_size’ and ‘max_execution_time.’ If you encounter those errors, the solution is to adjust the ‘max_upload_size’ and ‘max_execution_time’ inside your ‘php.ini’ file configuration. Alternatively, you can contact your hosting provider to ask for assistance on fixing the said errors.

Lets get started:

Configuring the ‘BuddyPress Settings’:

  1. Install and Activate all recommended plugins
  2. Go to ‘Settings’ > ‘BuddyPress’.
  3. In the ‘BuddyPress Settings‘ page enable the following components below:
    • BuddyPress Groups
    • Private Messaging
    • Friends Connection.
  4. Finally, click the ‘Save Changes‘ button.

Also, configure other settings like permalink for BuddyPress to work properly.

Configuring the ‘General Settings’:

  1. Go to ‘Settings’ > ‘General.’
  2. In the ‘General Settings‘ page go to the ‘Membership’ setting and check the checkbox labeled ‘Anyone can register.’
  3. Finally, click the ‘Save Changes‘ button.

Importing the Demo Content:

  1. Go to ‘Appearance’ > ‘Import Demo Data’.
  2. In the ‘Import Demo Data‘ page click the ‘Import Demo Data‘ button.
  3. This will import the contents, menus, and widgets. Groups, Members, and other BuddyPress data won’t be available in the import. You should add your own members, and groups.
  4. Please kindly wait for the import process to finish. This will usually take 5 – 10 minutes depending on the speed of your connection.

Assigning the Home page and Blog page:

  1. Go to ‘Settings’ > ‘Reading’.
  2. In the ‘Reading Settings‘ page go to the ‘Front page displays’ setting and click the ‘A static page (select below).’
  3. Then you will need to assign the ‘Front page:‘ drop-down and the ‘Posts page‘ drop-down.
    • In ‘Front page’ drop-down select the ‘Home Version 1’ in the drop-down selection. You can also select other pages as your ‘Home‘ page if you like to.
    • In ‘Posts page’ drop-down select the ‘Blogs’ in the drop-down selection. You can also select other pages to act as your ‘Blog‘ page.
  4. Finally, click the ‘Save Changes‘ button.

Importing the Demo Sliders:

  1. In your ‘WordPress Administration Panel‘ go to the ‘WordPress Dashboard‘ > ‘Revolution Slider.’
  2. In the ‘Slider Revolution’ page click the ‘Import Slider’ button.
  3. In the ‘Import Slider‘ lightbox click the ‘Choose file’ button.
  4. Select the ‘social-slider.zip‘ file is located inside the ‘resources’ directory of your ‘Klein Package Folder.’ Under the ‘resources’ directory, select ‘social-slider.zip’ file.
  5. Finally, click ‘Import Slider’ button in the ‘Import Slider‘ lightbox.
  6. Repeat the same procedure for the slider1.zip‘ file and other sliders zip files.

You have now finished importing the demo files and configuring the ‘WordPress‘ and ‘BuddyPress‘ settings. Next, we need to apply the plugin’s settings used in the demo please kindly proceed to the ‘3rd Party Plugins Settings‘ page.
