Stop: This documentation was written for Thrive 2.2 version and below. If you are using Thrive 3.0 or greater, please refer to this documentation.

Thrive is an innovative WordPress Theme designed to cater company portals, organisational websites, company intranet and extranets. Thrive helps you build a WordPress based intranet for your company so that your staffs and members can easily share information, files, events, docs, resources, and etcetera. Thrive can also be used to facilitate group projects, reports, and activities.

Note: As of version 2.0.2, we have added a simple ‘One Click Demo Installer‘ for Thrive. See this post on how to use the feature.

This article explains how to import and how to make your website look & feel identical to the intranet/extranet demo. If you are looking for community demo tutorial, go here. For e-learning demo site, click here.

This tutorial assumes you have a basic knowledge of WordPress as a self-hosted platform. We divided this tutorial into several parts. Kindly read each step carefully and proceed with extra care, especially when dealing with a live website. Always store back-ups.

Demo content XML import may require external PHP settings which you may need to configure the feature to run smoothly. First, you need to set your memory_limit and max_execution_time to unlimited. You can do it via ‘php.ini‘ file or you can contact your hosting provider instead for their assistance.
