Stop: This documentation was written for Thrive 2.2 version and below. If you are using Thrive 3.0 or greater, please refer to this documentation.

In this part of our documentation we are going to configure the ‘BuddyPress Setting’ of your website to avail the features seen in the ‘Thrive Intranet and Extranet Demo.’ Please kindly follow the instructions below to complete this process.

  1. First, go to your ‘WordPress Dashboard’ > ‘Settings’ > ‘BuddyPress’ panel.
  2. Under the ‘Components’ tab, kindly check the checkbox of the following listed components below:
    • Friend Connections
    • Private Messaging
    • User Groups
    • Site Tracking (Optional)
  3. Finally, click the ‘Save Settings’ button.

Notice: If the Menu links do not display the ‘Members,’ ‘Groups,’ and ‘Activities,’ then the import/BuddyPress might have overwritten the settings in your assigned pages that would cause the importer to generate duplicated pages. To fix this, delete the duplicate ‘Members’ page, ‘Groups’ page, ‘Activity’ page, ‘Registration’ page and ‘Activation’ page. Then re-assign the page inside of your ‘WordPress Dashboard’ > ‘Settings’ > ‘BuddyPress’ > ‘Pages’ tab.

You have now completed this chapter of our documentation, please kindly proceed to the next chapter of our documentation to proceed with the next instructions.
