The ‘Facebook Connect‘ feature of Thrive allows your users to ‘Register‘ in your site through their ‘Facebook Account.

To enable the ‘Facebook Connect‘ you need to create a ‘Facebook Application‘ first by following the steps in our article on how to create a ‘Facebook Application‘ through the provided link below.

After you had created your ‘Facebook Application‘ you are now ready to setup the ‘Facebook Connect‘ in your site.

Setting-up your Facebook Connect:

  1. Go to your ‘Facebook Developers page‘ and login to your ‘Facebook Account.’ Then copy the ‘App ID‘ and the ‘App Secret‘ of your ‘Facebook Application.’

  2. Go to your site and login to your ‘WordPress Administrator‘ account. Then go to your ‘WordPress Dashboard‘ > ‘Appearance‘ > ‘Social Connect‘ > ‘Fb Sign-in.
  3. Now, in the in the ‘FB Sign-in‘ panel, check the ‘Enable Facebook Connect‘ checkbox.
  4. In the ‘FB Sign-in‘ panel, paste the ‘App ID‘ in the ‘Application ID‘ field and the ‘App Secret‘ in the ‘Application Secret‘ field.

  5. Finally, click the ‘Save Changes‘ button.
